Hyundai Bayon: Hyundai has released a new teaser of the upcoming Bayon, revealing the SUV’s distinctive H-Edge LED daytime running lights for the first time ahead of its India launch. The latest preview provides a clearer look at one of the Bayon’s key front-end design elements, with the DRLs positioned high on the fascia and integrated into Hyundai’s new Art of Steel design language. The company had previously shown the SUV through official design sketches, but the latest teaser gives a more detailed view of the actual lighting treatment.
The new Bayon uses a split lighting arrangement at the front, with the slim LED DRLs positioned separately from the main headlamp units. The H-Edge signature appears as a sharply defined lighting element around the upper section of the front fascia, while a dark surrounding bezel gives the DRLs a more defined appearance when they are switched off. Hyundai has also used the lighting design to visually emphasise the width of the SUV, with the DRLs forming an important part of the vehicle’s new identity.
The latest teaser also provides a closer look at the way the DRLs function as part of the overall front-end treatment. Reports based on the teaser indicate that the lighting elements incorporate a dual-function setup, with one section also serving as the turn indicator. Hyundai has not yet disclosed the complete lighting specifications, but the teaser confirms that the DRLs will be one of the most distinctive elements of the production SUV.

The H-Edge lighting sits above a sculpted bonnet with pronounced fenders, while the lower section of the front fascia features a more substantial treatment. Hyundai’s official design sketches show a muscular front profile with sharp character lines and robust lower-body elements, giving the Bayon a noticeably upright SUV stance. The company says the design follows its evolving Art of Steel philosophy, which focuses on shaped surfaces, architectural forms and defined character lines.
The Bayon’s exterior design is not limited to the DRLs, with Hyundai also previewing a sculpted hood, bold fender volumes and a strong lower-body treatment. The official sketches show that the SUV avoids a conventional full-width LED light bar and instead uses the H-Edge signature as a separate lighting element across the upper portion of the front. This gives the front fascia a different visual identity while retaining the split-headlamp layout seen on several Hyundai SUVs.

Inside, Hyundai has so far released only an initial design sketch showing a technology-focused cabin. The illustration points towards a digital dashboard with connected functions forming an important part of the interior, although individual screen sizes and the final equipment list have not yet been confirmed. Hyundai describes the Bayon as an Intelligent Utility Vehicle developed around modern urban lifestyles, with technology and intuitive interaction forming part of its initial positioning.
Hyundai has confirmed that the Bayon will be introduced in India as a new global SUV and has positioned it between the Venue and Creta in its SUV range. The company is expected to reveal more information about the powertrain, variants, features and pricing closer to the launch, while the detailed technical specifications remain undisclosed at this stage. The Bayon is expected to arrive during the upcoming festive season, although the exact launch date has not yet been announced.
