The 2026 Maruti Brezza Facelift has been in the news a lot before its official launch, and some important facts have emerged today, which we’ll discuss. The company has opened bookings for it with a token amount of ₹11,000, while reports suggest the launch will take place around July 23–24, 2026. The biggest thing is that the facelift is not just a cosmetic update, but a lot of improvements can be seen in features, safety and performance as well, and today the Maruti Brezza has also received a 5-star rating from BNCAP.
What new can the 2026 Maruti Brezza facelift get?
According to me, other reporters are also saying that Maruti Suzuki is preparing to make the cabin more premium than before. Expected updates could include a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, ventilated front seats, ambient lighting, an air purifier and connected car features. These upgrades could make the Brezza stronger against rivals like the Hyundai Venue, Tata Nexon and Kia Sonet. The official feature list will be confirmed on the day of launch.
Bharat NCAP 5-Star Rating could become the biggest scene
The biggest highlight of the 2026 Brezza Facelift is said to be its Bharat NCAP 5-Star Safety Rating. According to reports, the SUV scored 30, 41/32 in Adult Occupant Protection and 43/49 in Child Occupant Protection, which could be a good thing.
The tested model came with 6 airbags, Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and ISOFIX child seat anchorages as part of the standard safety package. And I think many reports also suggest that this safety rating will not be limited to just the top variant, but will be applicable to the entire lineup. Official variant-wise details will become clearer after the launch.
Engine Options: Is a turbo engine finally coming to the Maruti Brezza?
Maruti’s proven 1.5-litre petrol engine is expected to continue with a factory-fitted CNG option. Several reliable reports also mention a 1.0-litre Boosterjet turbo-petrol engine, which could make the driving experience more exciting.
Another important update is the 6-speed manual gearbox. If these reports are confirmed on launch day, this will be a big upgrade for Brezza enthusiasts. Currently, the company has not officially confirmed the turbo engine and gearbox.

Underbody CNG setup will provide a practical advantage
The boot space of the current Brezza CNG is significantly affected by the CNG cylinder. I suggest that the facelift model could be equipped with an underbody CNG tank setup. This would improve luggage space and make the SUV more practical for family trips. If this feature is confirmed at launch, I believe it will be a most useful upgrade for CNG buyers.
