Tata Punch EV Exterior Upgrades
The 2026 Tata Punch EV could look slightly sharper this time.
Tata may not completely redesign the SUV, but small changes are expected across the front and rear profile. Recent reports suggest cleaner bumpers, updated LED lighting, and new alloy wheel designs may arrive in higher variants.
Connected tail lamps are also expected to make the SUV look more modern.
Honestly, I saw that the current design already looks tough for city use. But these small updates may give it a more premium road presence now.
Tata could also introduce fresh colour options and slightly improved aerodynamics for better efficiency.
Powertrain & Range: the Tata Punch EV
This is where the biggest upgrades may happen.
The updated Punch EV is expected to continue with two battery pack options — 30kWh and 40kWh. The larger battery currently offers an ARAI-certified range close to 468km, while the real-world driving range is around 335 to 355km.
Expected battery options:
- 30kWh battery pack
- 40kWh battery pack
- Faster DC charging support
- Improved regeneration modes
Reports also suggest Tata’s newer integrated EV drive unit could improve efficiency and smoother acceleration.
Yaar, for daily city driving, this range already feels more than enough for most buyers.

Expected comfort features include:
- Ventilated front seats
- Leatherette upholstery
- Improved rear seat comfort
- Wireless charger
- Automatic climate control
- Voice-assisted sunroof
The compact SUV already offers good practicality. But these upgrades may help it feel less entry-level.

Tech & Safety Features
Tata may push technology harder in the 2026 update.
A larger touchscreen and updated digital cluster are expected in the top variants. Some reports even suggest Level 2 ADAS features could arrive later.
Expected tech and safety features:
- 10.25-inch touchscreen
- 360-degree camera
- Blind spot monitoring
- 6 airbags
- ESP
- TPMS
- Hill hold assist
Safety is becoming a big priority now in India. Kaafi buyers directly compare crash ratings before buying an EV.
Price & Variants
The updated electric SUV is expected to remain one of Tata’s most affordable EVs in India.
Expected prices may start around ₹9.69 lakh ex-showroom and go up to around ₹12.5 lakh for fully loaded variants.
Battery-as-a-Service options may also continue. That can help reduce initial ownership cost for many buyers.
Variants could include:
- Smart

Why Buy the Tata Punch EV?
The Punch EV already works well as a city-friendly electric SUV.
Its compact size makes driving easy in traffic. Ride quality also feels comfortable on bad roads. Now with bigger batteries, more range, and premium features, the updated version may become an even stronger option in the affordable EV segment.
