Mahindra BE 6 SPORTEQ: Mahindra has just given electric SUV buyers something new to look forward to. The company has officially teased the BE 6 SPORTEQ, a new version of its popular electric SUV, ahead of its full reveal on August 15, 2026.
And this is not just a name change. The first teaser gives us a clear look at one major upgrade: a new triple-screen dashboard layout. Mahindra also appears to be giving the cabin a different theme and making several design changes to create a more premium and sportier version of the BE 6.
But there is an important catch—the company has not yet revealed the complete specifications or price. So, what exactly has Mahindra confirmed, and what should buyers wait for?

My Honest Take Mahindra BE 6 SPORTEQ
The BE 6 SPORTEQ is interesting because Mahindra isn’t trying to completely reinvent the electric SUV.
Instead, the company appears to be fixing one of the most obvious opportunities in the existing BE 6: cabin technology and practicality.
The addition of a passenger screen immediately gives the BE 6 a more premium dashboard experience, while the redesigned centre area could address some practical limitations of the current cabin.
But whether the SPORTEQ becomes a genuinely better buy will ultimately depend on its price premium.
If Mahindra keeps the powertrain largely unchanged and prices the SPORTEQ aggressively, the extra technology could make it the most desirable BE 6 version. If the premium becomes too high, buyers may simply prefer an existing BE 6 variant.
For me, the triple-screen cabin is exciting—but the August 15 price announcement will decide whether this is a meaningful upgrade or simply a more expensive special edition.
